If you follow me on twitter or facebook, you may have seen  Brene Brown‘s name popping up a lot this week, along with a link to this TEDx talk of hers.

I just discovered her this week after my shining light of a friend, Tawney, posted a link to the video in the comments section of a mutual friend’s facebook status.  He had written “Vulnerability is the highest form of courage“.  I was the first to comment with “YES!!!!!!”  For about a year now a motto of mine is “I am committed to complete vulnerability”, and that is what I am doing in my book.  I am being completely vulnerable by exposing my very human brain and the ugliness that shows up and then how I joyologize myself with my tools.  I want to be clear that I am in no way perfect, but I am conscious of my thoughts, speech, actions, beliefs and attitudes and I fully accept every part of myself.

As I watched Brene’s talk, I was nodding my head with my whole body.  I then immediately internet stalked her to find out all that I could about her.   I discovered that she has written several books (which I now have hold requests in at my local library for) with titles such as “The Gifts of Imperfection: Let Go of Who You Think You’re Supposed to Be and Embrace Who You Are”.   I am definitely obsessed, but in the best way possible.

Check her out, over on her site and do yourself a favor and watch the video.  I know, I know it may be longer than you want to sit for, but you can do it and there is this little thing called pause too, if you can only get yourself to pay attention for a few minutes at a time.

You are ENOUGH!
