What I Ate Wednesday, Volume 5

I am back from a short but very fulfilling trip to Costa Rica.  Where one of my best friend’s from college got married on top of a mountain in Arenal.   On the land of a completely of the grid, organic, sustainable farm, Rancho Margot.  I highly recommend staying there if you are headed to Costa Rica at an time!

What I Ate Wednesday, Volume 4

Woo Hoo.  Today is almost over and I am about to drive myself to the airport.  I am going out of town today for the weekend, for one of my best friends from college’s wedding in Costa Rica!  So, today was a day of errands, and cleaning out my fridge!

Surprise, surprise….today started with lemon water!  It was quickly followed with a mug of Guayaki Yerba Mate.  I used to drink a full french press of this every day!  It is a great coffee substitute that is full of antioxidants and gives you that pep without the crash.  I like to make it from loose leaves, but it is available in bags and in many flavors, too. What I Ate Wednesday, Volume 3

Happy today!  I hope you guys are enjoying this weekly post or at least getting something out of it.  If nothing else, I have been keeping myself accountable to do this every week and that feels good.

This Wednesday pretty much everything I ate was eaten out, which is not usual for me.  I flew back to LAX after visiting my family on Tuesday late afternoon and drove straight to my boyfriend’s house in Orange County.  We did visit his local health food store Tuesday night so that I was able to start my day with some fresh greens!

This Wednesday,  started with lemon water, always, always.  Then I sipped on a Suja glow juice.  I love a good pressed green juice, but I am hesitant to buy brands and flavors featuring apple as I have found some to be too sweet for me.  But this one was perfect.  The apple just lightly cut the bitterness of the greens but was not overpoweringly sweet.  Yay! What I Ate Wednesday, Vol. 2

Hello. Hello.  Welcome to this week’s edition of WIAW!

This week started of the same, as do most days with of course, lemon water!  I then followed it up with my favorite tonic of hot water, lemon, ginger, turmeric, apple cider vinegar, and a touch of honey.

This is a great immunity booster and just makes me feel all warm, cozy, and nourished. (photo is the remains of the mug after I drank the tonic)

What I Ate Wednesday, Vol. 1

Hello, Hello!

It has been quite a while since I have been committed to this beautiful, work of love that is my website.  I am rested, relaxed, and inspired to get back to it now!

For starters, I am going to post weekly, “What I Ate Wednesday”.  Why Wednesday?

Well, it sounds catchy and it is smack dab in the middle of the week where I could be getting lazy or creative with my food choices.  I promise to share it all with you and not swap out pictures or stories of what I had another day (ha!).
