This is my ideal morning routine.  I don’t follow all of it everyday, but I aim for that and I really truly do feel the effects of these simple practices.

Today, I woke up stuffed up, achy and just plain blah.  I could blame the heat, the fan that I slept with in my face, the fruity sangria I drank last night, the city air, walking miles with a heavy purse over one shoulder…You get the picture.  I didn’t spend any time placing blame, I just went straight to my go to, get me going tricks.

First, I like to go straight for my neti pot.  I travel the world with a neti pot in my suitcase (not this porcelin one).  Nasal passages (mine and yours) are often blocked because of pollution, pollen, dust and other irritants. Using a neti pot is a natural, amazing, effective way for keeping my sinuses clean and allow for deeper breathing.  Just by allowing warm water with salt flow through I wash away pollens, mucus, viruses and bacteria. No sinus medications needed!  I give these as Christmas presents every year, seriously.

While I am using my Neti, I have hot water boiling for my Lemon Tea.  Mug of hot water with 1/2 of a fresh lemon squeezed in, easy peasy.  This simple combo flushes out toxins and bacteria.  It also supports digestion in many ways including helping nausea, constipation, and heartburn.  Those are just a few of the benefits (see more in this post)!  Note, it is best to just squeeze juice in and leave rinds in the water (I left them in for the phot0).

Next up, a shot of E3 Live!  Wild Blue Green Algae!  My favorite mixers are a freshly squeezed grapefruit or O.N.E. coconut water.  This magical source supports brain function, balances blood sugar levels, increases endurance, and on and on. Nutritionally, E3Live provides 64 easily absorbed vitamins, minerals and enzymes and has more biologically active chlorophyll than any known food. It is the most nutrient dense food known to mankind. What?!?!?  I take it both in the frozen/liquid form and in capsules when I am traveling.

I wait to brush my teeth until after the lemon water and E3 and then follow brushing my teeth with scrubbing my tongue  with my tongue scraper (I also give these with Christmas gifts, my extended family is reading this now and nodding their heads in agreement).  The back part of the tongue is easily ignored and that is where bacteria settles that can cause bad breath and mouth diseases.   Brushing the tongue with a toothbrush does not have the same effect.   Get yourself one!

Lastly, if I want some pep, I make myself a french press full of Guayaki Yerba Mate!  This tea not only gets me going it contains 24 vitamins and minerals, 15 amino acids, and it is abundant in antioxidants.   Of course,  it is available in tea bags and the traditional way to drink it is in a gourd with a bombilla straw, but my favorite is to french press.

There you go!  I am feeling so awake and alive now!!!!!  Ready to go!
