Birth Month Giveaways continue!

I was first introduced to Spoken Glass water bottles in April of 2008.  I was in rehearsals for the Music, Magic, Makepeace Tour featuring Jason Mraz, Bushwalla, The Makepeace Brothers and Justin Kredible (Willman).  Conor, the owner and also the bass player of the Makepeace Brothers, brought Spoken Glass bottles for all of use to use on tour.

I was immediately in love with the bottles, especially because of the affirmation words engraved on them, but I made them out to be a bit impractical.  I was afraid to actually use it.  What if it fell over and broke?

I quickly got over that fear as soon as I took my first drink of water from it.   I had already been on the reusable water bottle bandwagon for years.  Going from nalgene to bpa free plastic to aluminum, but drinking from this lovely glass bottle, water never tasted so good!  On top of the taste (and of course that there is no possibility of random leaching from plastic or aluminum products)  another plus is that mouth piece is the perfect size.  Not too big that water is dribbling down my chin, or splashing onto my nose.  It is just right.

From then on, I have always had a Spoken Glass bottle as my choice in water bottle.  I have traveled the world over and over again with my glass bottle.  I take it with my everywhere.  It sits in my purse and walks all over town with me.

I love these bottles and Conor so much that I wanted to introduce you to them both.

Tricia:  Conor, what inspired you to create and sell these bottles?
Conor: My main inspiration was to get people off of plastic, and second was to have people be inspired and reminded by the affirmations of the amazing life they live.

T: Why glass?
C: There is nothing like drinking water out of glass!  Even people who don’t believe in affirmations have told me, ‘water out of your bottles just tastes better’!!

T: How do you pick the sayings that are engraved on the bottles?
C: I looked at what affirmations resonated deepest with me and I thought could make a difference for other people in their everyday lives.  I want reminders every day to be love and grateful an the breathe, so others must feel the same.

T: Any new ones to come?
C: There is a whole new batch of words and designs to come this year!  I am inspired to make 2011 the best year ever for spoken glass!  We are now offering custom designed bottles, engraving on iPhones, iPods, computers, notebooks, and many more.

T: What do you want to acknowledge yourself for today?
C: I want to acknowledge myself for being love and putting being love at the highest level of living for myself.  When I am present to love that’s when I know I am in the flow of life!

Besides being the owner of Spoken Glass and the bass player for The Makepeace Brothers, Conor also produced, directed and co-stars in a documentary film called May I Be Frank.  Yeah, he is one amazing fellow that I am proud to call my friend, scratch that, my brother.
